Limericks With Hannah

This past 4th of July weekend my parents and I went to Spokane to visit my Sister Elizabeth (AKA Biz) and her husband Brent and daughter Hannah. Hannah loves Limericks (of course, who doesn't?). And occasionally throughout the duration we employed ourselves in constructing not a few of them. Below are samples. As we have kidnapped her for this week, expect yet more to come. I'll try to remember them, though this may be difficult as we usually construct them with the verbal method rather than literary, for rapidity. The downside to this method is that good prose is not always retained, and can be lost or corrupted in the imperfections (or rampant, inconvenient ingenuity) of the human mind.

Here's two gems:

The vultures gathered close for the kill
"Take me instead," said cowboy Bill
With the vultures amassed
Toxic gas then Bill passed
And the vultures lost all of their will

Hannah's beverage went down the wrong pipe
Cause Grandpa's shoes were dragging a "wipe"
We had Taco Del Mar
Then we got in the car
Then got out, something smelled way too ripe

And one of mine to sweeten the mix:

An engorged, giant venomous tick
Consumes a small dog with one lick
It's thirst for fresh blood
Makes it chew it's own cud
But dies slow once it's tipped by a hick
